The requirement is for the RespirAct RA-MR system a respiratory blood gas delivery system.
Technical Specifications Salient characteristics RespirAct RA-MR system: RespirAct RA-MR system Technical Specifications: Blood gas control system and investigative device used to stimulate vascular reactivity. Designed to precisely target and control PCO2 and PO2 in spontaneously breathing patients and is MRI compatible. : THORNHILL RESEARCH INC. is the exclusive producer and distributor of the RespirAct RA-MR system. The system allows research to precisely target and control PCO2 and PO2 in spontaneously breathing patients.
This procurement is being conducted IAW FAR 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies will satisfy agency requirements and VHAPM Part 813.106-1(b), Other Than Full and Open Competition less than SAT for Open Market Items. This is because the Government asserts that THORNHILL RESEARCH INC., is the only contractor that can produce the required system to the Research and Development Service at Boston-Jamaica Plain Health Care System. The determination to conduct a competitive procurement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Contracting Officer.
