"Nationwide, per year" is each service's cheapest published plan that covers every state. Portals also let you submit to their member agencies; RFPFinder links you to the issuing agency to submit.

How to choose

Start free. SAM.gov for federal, your state's portal for state and local, and RFPFinder to see all of it in one deadline-first list with a summary and a scorecard on each notice. Most small firms never need more than this plus a daily digest.

Pay for submission when an agency requires it. If the agencies you sell to run BidNet Direct, DemandStar or Periscope S2G, their free tiers usually cover submitting to those agencies. Their paid tiers add other agencies' notices, which free sources already publish.

Pay for intelligence when you have a capture team. GovWin IQ, GovTribe and GovSpend sell forecasts, award history and spend data. They are worth it when someone's job is to work pursuits months before the RFP, not when you need to see what is open this week.

Questions people ask

Which government bid websites are free?

SAM.gov is free and lists every federal notice. State procurement portals are free for their own agencies. RFPFinder is free to browse and sends a free daily digest. Among commercial aggregators, DemandStar, BidNet Direct, Periscope S2G, RFPMart have limited free tiers, usually restricted to agencies in their own network.

How much does a government bid aggregator cost?

Published prices run from $19.95 a month (FindRFP, four states) to about $2,700 a year for a national DemandStar plan, with BidNet Direct at $1,999 a year and Periscope S2G at $1,571 a year nationwide. GovWin IQ, GovSpend and BidPrime do not publish prices. RFPFinder Pro is $39 a month or $349 a year. Prices checked 2026-10-05.

Do I need a paid service to find RFPs?

No. Every public solicitation is published for free by the issuing agency, on SAM.gov for federal work and on state or local portals otherwise. Paid services save time by aggregating, filtering and alerting, and some add e-submission or market intelligence. Pay for the part that saves you hours, not for access to the notices themselves.

What is the difference between a bid portal and an aggregator?

A portal, such as BidNet Direct, DemandStar or Periscope S2G, is where member agencies publish and accept bids, so submitting there takes an account on that portal. An aggregator, such as RFPFinder, FindRFP or BidPrime, collects notices from many sources so you can find them in one place, then sends you to the issuing agency to respond.
