BidNet Direct vs RFPFinder, line by line
Where RFPFinder falls short. It is a feed, a scorecard and an alert, not a proposal workspace or a submission portal. State and local coverage is still being built portal by portal. If several people work every bid together, or your agencies require you to submit through BidNet Direct, keep that account.
$29 a month. Locked for life.
Instant alerts, 5 categories × 5 states, set-aside and value filters, scorecards and buyer contacts. $39/mo after the founding seats go.
Our take on BidNet Direct
BidNet Direct is worth it when you regularly submit bids to agencies that run their procurement through BidNet and you work in one to three states. Nationwide coverage at $1,999 a year plus $149 for federal is hard to justify if you bid in a narrow category, where a free feed with alerts shows you the same public notices.
BidNet Direct reviews: is it worth it?
- Free Basic tier that still lets you submit to member agencies
- Bid documents and e-submission inside the tool for member agencies
- Clear published prices with a monthly option on the Local plan
- Cost climbs by geography: three states already cost $1,199 a year
- Regional and National are annual only, and federal is a $149 add-on
- Prices exclude tax, and the free tier covers member agencies only
- Bid mostly in one to three states and want the member-agency documents inside the tool
- Need to submit bids to agencies that publish through BidNet
- Prefer an annual plan from an established network
- Bid in a few categories or states and want deadline-first lists with a should-bid scorecard
- Want to read full listings, summaries and document links before paying anything
- Need a daily digest or an instant alert more than a bid-management suite
