Notice of Intent to Sole Source: TEM2Go Geophysical Scanner

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Engineering Research and Development Center (ERDC), Cold Regions Research and Engineering Laboratory (CRREL), Signature Physics Branch (SPB) intends to award a contract on a sole source basis to Exploration Instruments LLC under the authority provided at RFO 12.102(a).

Requirement: The TEM2Go geophysical scanner shall fulfill the following specifications: TEM2Go Geophysical Scanner (Part # 7001) TEM2Go Software for 12-months (Part # 7301) TEM2Go extended support, 12-month subscription (Part # 7311) Exploration Instruments LLC has been identified as the only source capable of providing the TEM2Go geophysical scanner. This equipment is strictly required to ensure scientific data integrity, waveform consistency, extreme portability, and continued operational interoperability with existing government-owned TEM Company equipment. Exploration Instruments LLC is the only authorized North American reseller and service partner.

No other vendor or manufacturer is legally authorized to distribute or service TEM Company products within North America. This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive quotations. However, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement.

Any interested party that believes they can fulfill this requirement should submit a capability statement to be reviewed. All submissions received will be considered by the Government; however, there is no guarantee that submissions in response to this notice will alter the Government's acquisition strategy. Responses to this notice shall be submitted No Later Than (NLT) 12:00 PM Central Daylight Time, October 20, 2026 to [email on the source notice] Telephone responses will not be accepted.

Responses to this notice will not be considered as a response to any solicitation, a request to be added to a prospective offerors list, or a commitment to receive a copy of any future solicitation. A determination by the Government not to compete the contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.

Note: In order to be eligible for award of a Government contract, vendors must be actively registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) with no active exclusions and complete the FAR and DFARS representations and certifications.
