IDEA Due Process Hearing Officer /Appeals Board Members
20 USC 1415, 34 CFR 300.511, KRS 157.224, and 707 KAR 1:340 require the KDE to implement an impartial due process hearing system. The purpose of the system is to resolve disagreements between entities responsible for implementing the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (Education Entity) and parents of children with disabilities pursuant to the due process hearing requirements under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).
The intent is to award multiple contracts.
All contract awards will not have a guarantee of work for any vendor awarded from the RFP.
