Engineering, Planning, and Design Services for RapidRide R Line
The purpose of this contract is to provide multidisciplinary engineering, planning, design, and related services to King County Metro Transit, Capital Division (“County”) for the upcoming RapidRide R Line which will serve the city of Seattle. The Consultant shall plan, develop, design, and produce bidding documents for roadway/signal/sidewalk improvements, transit passenger facilities, and transit communication infrastructure, as well as any other needed components for the RapidRide R Line. The Consultant shall work with the County in defining a deliverable RapidRide R Line project that balances transit performance objectives, customer experience, equity outcomes, available funding, implementation schedule, and long-term operations and maintenance considerations.
The Consultant shall provide technical analysis, alternatives evaluation, cost and schedule information, and recommendations necessary for County decision-making throughout project design.
