DHS IFB Choate Medical Director-REBID
The Illinois Department of Human Services (DHS) is seeking a Medical Director at Choate Center located at 1000 North Main Street, Anna, IL 62906.
Full-time Medical Director for the Choate Center. Services to begin upon execution of contract through June 30, 2029. The contractor shall provide coverage for the I/DD Forensics 40 bed unit as well as the DBHR 75 bed units.
The DBHR 75 bed units are expected to be phased out completely by March 2027. In order to cover the DBHR units, the contractor must be a board-certified Psychiatrist. The contractor will need to assist in maintaining certification from Joint Commission on DBHR units and IDPH certification for the I/DD 15 bed civil unit expected to be phased out by September 2026.
The contractor will provide supervision to mid-level providers, oversight for the care of all individuals, and carry a small case load at times as coverage needs require. The contractor will attend administrative meetings and patient care meetings as necessary. Work hours will be 37.5 hours per week, between the hours of 8:00 am and 4:30 pm, Monday - Friday.
The total hours are estimated and are not a guarantee of what will be required. An all-inclusive hourly rate (which includes malpractice insurance coverage) will be used in billing for services provided.
