REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS FOR ARCHITECTS, STRUCTURAL ENGINEERS, AND SURVEYORS FOR CONSTRUCTION
The City of Newnan has been awarded $4.6 million through a Congressionally Directed Spending allocation in the FY2023 Federal Budget. The Newnan City Council has authorized the Newnan Urban Redevelopment Agency (NURA) to serve as the administrator of these funds. The program includes two primary activities: the rehabilitation of owner-occupied housing units and the construction of new homes on City-owned lots.
These new homes will be sold to low-, moderate-, and middle-income families whose household income is at or below 120% of the Area Median Income (AMI) for Coweta County. To support this initiative, NURA is seeking Statements of Qualifications from experienced and licensed architectural, structural engineering, and land surveying firms. The purpose of this RFQ is to establish a pre-qualified pool of firms that can provide professional services for the planning, design, and implementation of both new home construction and residential rehabilitation projects.
Selected firms may be engaged on an as-needed basis for tasks such as: Site surveys and platting, Structural assessments and design, Architectural drawings and construction documents, Code compliance reviews, Construction phase support. This RFQ process will enable NURA to expedite professional service contracting while ensuring a high standard of quality and compliance with federal funding requirements. NURA reserves the right to reject any or all responses determined not to be in the best interest of the program.
