DNR Marquette Hatchery - PIT Tags
This Request for Proposal is to award a five-year contract with up to two-year additional option years. This contract is brand name specific. Continuing to purchase from Biomark would ensure that the hardware, software, and tags we currently use, and in the past, will be compatible throughout the state.
In addition, all the agencies (federal, state, and tribal) that we collaborate with on spp. specific rehabilitation projects use Biomark products and services. The continued use of Biomark products will reduce error in recording data, quicker data collection, long term reliability, and ensuring data compatibility among collaborators. Biomark has been the primary source for our PIT tag purchases over the past few decades in the SOM.
The risk of using an unequal vendor, could compromise research, management, and brood objectives at both an interstate and intrastate level.
